Places to visit close to Ferny Grove
• Brisbane Forest Park
Just a short distance west along Samford Road from the Tram Museum is the start of Brisbane Forest Park. Picnic here and enjoy the walking trails through the forest.
• Samford Valley
The township of Samford is just a few minutes drive west of Ferny Grove and has a number of attractions that make a visit worth while. It is also a starting point for the Samford Valley and the Mt Glorious area.
• Samford District Historical Museum
Situated in John Scott Park in the centre of Samford villiage and on the site of the old Samford Railway Station.
• Lyell Deer Farm
Situated at the end of Fogg's Road a few kilometres north of the township of Samford.


Some where to eat before visiting the Tramway Museum
• Ferny Grove Bowls Club
Situated on the corner of Samford Road and Tramway St. It is next door to the Tram Museum.
• Walkabout Creek Restaurant
West along Waterworks Road the Walkabout Creek Restaurant and Information Centre is situated at the start of Brisbane Forest Park.
• Samford Valley Hotel
Located in Main Street Samford
• Arana Leagues Club
Situated in Dawson Parade Arana Hills
• Samford township
Continue west along Samford road to the township of Samford. There are several restaurants here. They do not have a web site of their own.
• Ferny Grove Tavern
The tavern is less than a kilometre from the museum and is beside the Ferny Grove Railway Station. Ideal for train travellers.
